Yoga & Ayurveda are sister sciences - branches on the same tree of ancient Vedic teachings. We can better understand yoga as a spiritual practice and ayurveda as a true system of healing. A body's imbalance or dis-ease is viewed from a holistic lens and the interconnection of body, mind and soul. By uncovering your dosha (unique constitutional expressions of physical, emotional and mental characteristics derived from the five elements of earth, air, fire, water and ether that influence personality, life challenges and well being) and learning more about your imbalances and health concerns, we can create a personalized self practice based in ritual, embodied movement, yoga and meditation. This will include guided instruction on movement (asana), breath (pranayama), the daily routine (dinacharya) and Ayurvedic cooking.
